LAWRENCE LEWIS APPOINTED STATE SOLICITOR

(Wilmington, DE): Attorney General Carl C. Danberg is pleased to announce the appointment of Lawrence W. Lewis as Delaware State Solicitor. “Larry is a prominent and esteemed member of the Delaware Bar and is held in high regard in the Office of the Attorney General. Larry’s promotion to State Solicitor has been earned with many years of hard work and dedicated service.”

Lawrence W. Lewis received his B.S. in Economics from Towson State University and his J.D. from Widener Law School, where he served as a Note and Comment Editor for the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law. He was admitted to the Delaware State Bar Association in 1988 and has nearly 15 years of service with the office. Mr. Lewis has supervised the Government Services Group in the Civil Division of the Attorney General’s Office, while representing several state agencies in complex commercial transactions in litigation. Mr. Lewis received a Distinguished Service Award from Attorney General M. Jane Brady in 1996. In 2001 he was awarded the Partnership in Service Award by Governor Ruth Ann Minner.

Mr. Lewis and his wife Patricia reside in New Castle County with their daughter.
