Governor’s Weekly Message: Strengthening Educational Opportunities for Delaware Students

Former Governor Jack Markell (2009-2017) | Kent County | New Castle County | News | Sussex County | Date Posted: Friday, March 20, 2015

(Dover, DE) – In his weekly message, Governor Markell explains the importance of identifying unmet student needs and developing a comprehensive plan that addresses all schools in Delaware. “Amazing schools and programs across the state are offering diverse and innovative opportunities to meet individual needs, whether it’s the science and math focus at Conrad Schools of Science, the college prep courses at Mount Pleasant, the programs to serve high-need students at EastSide Charter, or the robust career and technical training at Vo Tech schools in each county,” said Governor Markell. “By ensuring all children have access to the right education programs, we’ll give them the best chance to graduate ready for college or a career and we’ll keep Delaware moving forward.”

Every week, the Governor’s office releases a new Weekly Message in video, audio, and transcript form. The message is available on:
