Sculptor Robert M. Bickey to show work in the Mezzanine Gallery in December/January

Bickey produced site specific work for this exhibition. His work incorporates found objects and constructed sculptural pieces that take advantage of the soaring space in the gallery. Light and sound play an important role in the work.




Winter-holiday-themed events among 11 special programs sponsored by the Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs in December 2015

Highlights of the month include a screening of the film “Scrooge,” “Handmade for the Holidays” and the Zwaanendael Museum decorated by the Sussex Gardeners.

Program honors the deep ties of friendship that exist between the United States and the Netherlands.




John Dickinson’s birthday, candle-making and holiday crafts to be featured at Dover, Del.’s John Dickinson Plantation in November 2015

During the month of November 2015, the home of the “Penman of the Revolution” will present seven special programs that explore different aspects of everyday life as it would have been lived during the 18th century when John Dickinson was in residence at the property.
