This new Council recognizes the significance of faith-based organizations in addressing many significant social needs, and will work to establish partnerships between government agencies and faith-based organizations to help fight poverty, expand access to health care, promote education and improve public safety.




PBF Announces Major Project at the Delaware City Refinery

PBF Holding Company LLC and Delaware City Refining Company LLC (together “PBF”) today announce the PBF Clean Fuels Project. PBF’s Board of Directors conditionally approved the construction of a $1 billion project consisting of a mild hydrocracker and hydrogen plant which will be built at its Delaware City Refinery.




Delmar’s New State-of-the-Art Wastewater Treatment Facility Unveiled

Delmar’s new state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility was unveiled today at a ribbon-cutting ceremony that included dignitaries from Delaware, Maryland, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. They were joined by representatives from local construction and engineering companies who worked for more than a year to transform the outdated facility to an innovative, effective wastewater treatment plant that protects the health and safety of families and provides significant clean water benefits for the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.




Housing Authority Program Enables Individuals to Move from State-run Facilities to Rental Units

On Monday, December 19th, the Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) hosted an event to celebrate the stories of five individuals who are moving from long-term care facilities and foster care to rental housing with the help of DSHA’s new State Rental Assistance Program (SRAP).




New Delaware Senior Legal Hotline Will Help Older Delawareans Get Free Advice and Ensure Their Rights

Advice will be provided by either a Delaware Volunteer Legal Services staff attorney or volunteer attorneys. If the issue requires more than advice, the caller will be screened for free legal services and, if eligible, will be referred to Community Legal Aid Society (CLASI), Delaware Volunteer Legal Services (DVLS) or the Legal Services Corporation of Delaware (LSCD). There are no income requirements for the hotline.
