Free 2012-2013 Service Guide Now Available in Print and Online

The free “2012-2013 Guide to Services for Older Delawareans and Persons with Disabilities” is now available in print and online in both English and Spanish. The 294-page guide includes contact information for organizations and businesses in 29 service categories, including caregiving, financial assistance, home health care, housing options, transportation, medical and dental services, and volunteerism.

U.S. Secretary of Energy Steven Chu Visits DSU to Highlight its Better Building Challenge Initiatives

U.S. Secretary of Energy Steven Chu paid a visit to Delaware State University to highlight its initiatives to make its campus buildings more energy efficient. In welcoming Secretary Chu to the campus and the First State, DSU President Harry L. Williams was joined by Gov. Jack Markell and the entire Delaware Congressional Delegation – U.S. Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons, as well as U.S. Rep. John Carney.




Legislative Session Focuses on Jobs, Schools, Governing Responsibly

Capping a legislative session that saw his legislative priorities implemented, Governor Jack Markell Saturday night signed a balanced budget that supports the goals he set forth in his State of the State address.




Rehoboth Beach Receives 5-Star Rating for Clean Water Quality

Rehoboth Beach received national recognition as a Superstar Beach, joining with Dewey Beach as Delaware’s 5-star beaches – two of the top beaches in the country for swimming water quality.
