Governor’s Weekly Message: Preparing Our Students by Supporting Our Educators

(Dover, DE) In his weekly message, Governor Markell discusses the importance of enhancing educator recruitment and retention efforts as well as the increased use of data – not only to ensure Delaware has high quality teachers but also to help teachers track student progress.

“The importance of this data is evident,” said Governor Markell. “Educators from across the state shared that the new data– and the time they are given to interpret that data with their colleagues – are invaluable assets to improving their collective ability to teach effectively and, in turn, keep Delaware students moving forward.”
