Aina Nergaard-Nammack of Lewes to show abstract paintings in the Mezzanine Gallery in September

Aina Nergaard-Nammack's paintingThe Delaware Division of the Arts Mezzanine Gallery presents Aina Nergaard-Nammack’s exhibition, Fragments of Classical Music, from September 6-27, 2013. The Gallery, open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., is located in the Carvel State Office Building, 820 N. French Street, Wilmington. There will be a reception to meet the artist on Friday, September 6 from 5-8 p.m. as part of Wilmington’s Art Loop.

This solo exhibition of Aina Nergaard-Nammack’s work will showcase a series of paintings based on classical music. The artist uses multiple brushes and her body’s physical movement to paint the music that she is immersed in during the time of a painting’s creation. Nergaard-Nammack actively moves around the room while painting to obtain different views of the forms and colors creating a vibrant and balanced composition.

Delaware’s Individual Artist Fellow in Painting, Aina Nergaard-Nammack, attended the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes in Spain and continued as a self-taught artist. Nergaard-Nammack has shown her paintings locally, regionally, and internationally and has work in corporate, private, and university collections.
