WEATHER-RELATED UPDATE: “A Day in the Life of the John Dickinson Plantation” on Oct. 12 to be moved indoors due to heavy rain

Due to heavy rains and saturated ground conditions, the component programs of “A Day in the Life of the John Dickinson Plantation,” originally scheduled to take place outdoors, will instead be held in the property’s mansion house and outbuildings.

The program, which will feature magic, living-history demonstrations and hands-on activities from colonial trades to hearth cooking, will still by held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the John Dickinson Plantation, located at 340 Kitts Hummock Road in Dover, Del. Admission to all activities is free and open to the public. For additional information, call 302-739-3277.
