In his weekly message, filmed at the Hope Achievement Center in Wilmington, Governor Markell underscores the importance of reforming our criminal justice system.
“This past week, I signed into law our most recent criminal justice reforms,” said Governor Markell. “As a result of these laws, we’re still ensuring offenders serve their time, but also that they have a fair opportunity to earn a job when they’re released through access to transportation and employment services. By changing our approach to criminal justice, we’ll make our state safer and give more of our people the chance to productively use their talents, and that will keep Delaware moving forward.”
