Governor Markell Orders Flags Lowered

DOVER – With the passing of retired Delaware Supreme Court Justice Joseph Walsh on Friday, August 15, Governor Markell has ordered the American and Delaware flags at state buildings and facilities be flown at half-staff beginning immediately as a mark of respect for Justice Walsh and his service to Delaware. Justice Walsh was appointed to Superior Court in 1972 and Chancery Court in 1984, serving a year before being appointed to the Delaware Supreme Court in 1985. He retired in 2003. A funeral mass is planned for next week at St. Joseph on the Brandywine in Greenville.
