DOVER – With the passing of former State Representative C. Leslie Ridings Jr. on Monday, August 18, Governor Markell has ordered the American and Delaware flags at state buildings and facilities be flown at half-staff beginning Tuesday, September 2 until the close of business on Thursday, September 4 as a mark of respect for Representative Ridings and his service to Delaware. Representative Ridings served in the Delaware House from 1975-1978. He also proudly served in the US Navy as a quarter master and signalman on the tanker Aucilla in the Pacific Fleet during World War II. A celebration of life will be held for Representative Ridings on Thursday, September 4th at Chandler Funeral Home in Wilmington.
