Governor’s Statement on Confirmation of Natalie Haskins as Delaware Family Court Judge
Dover, DE – The Delaware Senate today confirmed the nomination of Natalie Haskins to serve as a Judge on the Delaware Family Court, filling the vacancy that was created as a result of the death of the Honorable Alan Cooper. The Governor issued this statement following the confirmation:
“Natalie Haskins is dedicated to serving Delaware’s families and her commitment will only be further strengthened as she assumes the role of a Family Court Judge. I thank the members of the Senate for showing their support.”
Governor’s Statement on the Confirmation of Carla Benson-Green as Kids Department Secretary
Dover, DE – The Delaware Senate today confirmed the nomination of Carla Benson-Green to serve as Secretary of the Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families, succeeding Jennifer Ranji, who was sworn in as a judge of the Delaware Family Court on November 24, 2015. The Governor issued this statement following the confirmation:
“Carla Benson-Green has been focused on the safety and well-being of Delaware’s children and families throughout her entire career. Her compassion and experience will serve her well as she leads the Kids Department. I thank the members of the Senate for their vote of support.”
Campaign Finance Training
Dover DE– The Department of Elections has scheduled campaign finance training sessions to assist political committee candidates and treasurers understand the requirements set forth in Title 15, Chapter 80. Additionally, we want to insure that all responsible parties are familiar with the Campaign Finance Reporting System (CFRS) so they are able to file reports, amend information, and navigate the system comfortably and effectively.

Sculptor Robert M. Bickey to show work in the Mezzanine Gallery in December/January
The Delaware Division of the Arts Mezzanine Gallery is pleased to present Bent, an exhibition of new work by 2015 Individual Artist Fellow in Sculpture Robert M. Bickey. The exhibition will be on view from December 4, 2015 through January 22, 2016. The opening reception for the artist will be held on Friday, December 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. The Gallery, open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., is located in the Carvel State Office Building, 820 N. French Street, Wilmington.
Bickey produced site specific work for this exhibition. His work incorporates found objects and constructed sculptural pieces that take advantage of the soaring space in the gallery. Light and sound play an important role in the work. “The Mezzanine Gallery show gave me the opportunity to be visually and artistically experimental,” said Bickey. “My intention is to question the visitor’s ideas of art and beauty, time and place, and what society deems ‘precious.’”
Robert M. Bickey lives in Wilmington and has taught art at Delaware School of Art & Design, University of Delaware, Clemson University, Central Carolina Community College, and Tower Hill School.
