Governor Jack Markell has proclaimed Monday, June 20, as “American Eagle Day” in Delaware, concurrent with a national day of celebrating the bald eagle as an emblem of American freedom and independence.

DNREC Environmental Finance, the Division of Public Health’s Office of Drinking Water and the Water Infrastructure Advisory Council (WIAC) announced today that additional financial assistance is available for low-income subgroups within new wastewater and drinking water project areas financed by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) programs.

The First State Trails and Pathways Initiative. DNREC and DelDOT worked to create a world-class network of new pathways and trails. In addition to adding 50 miles of new trails and pathways, as a result of the First State Trails and Pathways Initiative, Delaware’s Bike Friendly state ranking rose from 31st nationally to 3rd.
