Lt. Governor Hall-Long issues statement on CDC data showing an increase in opioid overdose visits to emergency departments

“As chair of Delaware’s Behavioral Health Consortium, I am concerned and saddened by this CDC report, and recognize the importance of acting aggressively statewide to save lives and reduce the prevalence of overdoses in our communities,” said Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long. “We must continue to focus on long-term treatment, supportive recovery communities, and improved prevention and early intervention to stop the pipeline of progression. We will continue to make all of these areas a key focus of our work, and look forward to issuing our first report and action steps in the coming months.”
