On Memorial Day, we pay tribute to those who have died in service upholding the freedoms that all Americans enjoy today.
To honor the dedication and service of all of our service members Governor Carney requests that the proper protocol for the U.S. Flag Code be followed this Memorial Day. Flags are to be lowered to half-staff on Monday morning, May 27 for Memorial Day and then returned to full-staff at noon.
State buildings and facilities that are staffed on Monday are requested to observe this protocol.
