Calling all artist!

The annual Disability History and Awareness Month Poster Design Contest is sponsored by the Governor’s Advisory Council for Exceptional Citizens with support from the Delaware Department of Education.

To compete, the contest invites K-12 entrants (including charter, private and homeschool students) to celebrate Disability History and Awareness Month (October) by designing a poster showing how inclusion of individuals with disabilities is a basic human right and something that we are all capable of promoting. We are all ABLE.

Winners receive an acknowledgement at an awards ceremony hosted in their honor. There will be 3 winners in each Division; elementary, middle, and high school. In addition, two special divisions that include computer designed art and adaptive art (art created using assistive technology or with the aid of another individual), with computer designed art only being open to high school participants at this time.
