The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office has determined that this evening’s fire at a New Castle, Delaware tow yard was arson.
The Holloway Terrace Fire Company was dispatched to several vehicles on fire just after 6:30 pm inside the tow yard at CPG Citgo located at 2036 New Castle Avenue. Firefighters arrived on the scene with multiple vehicles engulfed in flames.
Deputy fire marshals were called to the scene. The vehicles were deliberately set ablaze. Fire damage was estimated at $30,000. Four vehicles were burned. There were no reported injuries.
