Delaware State Fire Commission Announces Groundbreaking Ceremony

The Delaware State Fire Commission is thrilled to announce the Groundbreaking Ceremony for our new building scheduled for Friday, September 6, 2024, at 11:00 am. The ceremony will be held at the Delaware Fire Service Center, 1463 Chestnut Grove Road, Dover, Delaware.

“Our long-awaited new building will replace the current one attached to the rear of the state fire school. This state-of-the-art 9500 square-foot building will significantly better serve the needs of our growing agency,” stated Executive Director Sherry Lambertson.

The event, hosted by Retired Fire Marshal Grover P. Ingle, will spotlight the Delaware State Fire Prevention Commissioners, Executive Director Sherry Lambertson, and other dignitaries pivotal in making this event possible.

Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
