WILMINGTON – Delaware Department of Labor’s Office of Construction Enforcement, along with community and industry partners, will celebrate National Construction Week, September 15–19, 2025, with a series of events highlighting workforce opportunities, safety, and education for careers in the construction industry.
The week will kick off on Monday, September 15 at the Route 9 Library in New Castle with a job fair and construction workshops in partnership with DelDOT. Workshops will cover prevailing wage, contractor rules, worker misclassification, and workplace safety.
Additional events throughout the week include:
- Tuesday, September 16 | 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Student Apprenticeship Presentations at Delaware Vo-Tech Schools in Kent and Sussex Counties.
- Tuesday, September 16 | 6 – 8 p.m. – Latinos in Construction Workshop at Avenue United Methodist Church, Milford, in partnership with La Plaza.
- Wednesday, September 17 | 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Student Apprenticeship Presentations at Delaware Vo-Tech Schools in New Castle County
- Friday, September 19 | 12 – 2 p.m. – Hard Hat & High Heels Workshop at United Electric Supply, New Castle, in partnership with the National Association of Women in Construction.
