The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating a house fire that occurred last night in Bear, DE.
On Tuesday November 25, 2025 the Delaware City Fire Company was notified of a house fire in the unit block of North Dragon Dr., in the Kingsmill Trailer Park. The initial call was for a fire alarm, upon arrival the Fire Department found smoke coming from the residence. Fire Department was notified of someone possibly trapped inside of the residence. Multiple Fire Departments were called to assist. After initiating search and suppression activities, a male victim was found inside the residence. The victim was removed and treated by New Castle County Paramedics and EMS personnel and transported to Christiana Care Emergency Department where he succumbed to his injuries.
Deputy Fire Marshals were called to the scene and are currently conducting an investigation into the origin and cause of the fire.
