Governor Meyer to Live Host DE250 Trivia Night

Secretary of State Charuni Patibanda-Sanchez will join Governor Meyer for a live broadcast of the ‘Matts Chats’ podcast during Delaware Day Trivia Night

WILMINGTON – Governor Matt Meyer and Secretary of State Charuni Patibanda-Sanchez will host a live episode of Matt Chats, Governor Meyer’s podcast, as part of a statewide Delaware Day Trivia Night on Thursday, December 4, from 7:00–8:00 p.m. The statewide trivia night event is part of the Delaware 250 commemoration, recognizing the upcoming 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding.

Anyone 18 or older can participate in the Delaware Day Trivia Night at home or with friends, individually on participants’ phones, offering a fun and accessible way to celebrate Delaware history. The six gathering sites also provide an optional opportunity to join neighbors and fellow Delaware history enthusiasts.

During the hour live broadcast and Trivia Night event, Governor Meyer and Secretary Patibanda-Sanchez will share insights and commentary, streaming on the State of Delaware’s Facebook and YouTube pages. The broadcast will also be available to watch or listen to later on Spotify, Apple Music, and Governor Meyer’s YouTube page.

With small businesses and college campuses hosting watch parties and trivia nights in each county, the event is presented in partnership with the Office of the Governor, the Department of State, the Delaware Public Archives, and Delaware 250.

“Delaware 250 is about bringing our history to life, and Trivia Night is a great way for communities to connect and celebrate together,” Secretary of State Charuni Patibanda-Sanchez said. “I’m looking forward to joining Governor Meyer and Delawareans across the state for this special event.”

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at each location. The first 50 attendees at each physical location will receive a Delaware 250 swag bag. College venues will offer free pizza and soda, and brewery sites will feature food and drink specials.
