Wilmington Fire

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a residential structure fire with injuries of two (2) male subjects and caused significant damage to the structure.

On March 26, 2026, at 0853 hours, a fire was reported at 3817 Hutchison Road, Wilmington Delaware. The Mill Creek Fire Company, along with multiple mutual aid fire companies, responded to the scene and found fire showing from the 1st floor of an occupied single-family dwelling. A male child was discovered in the front yard suffering from smoke exposure. Fire company suppression efforts were initiated and searches conducted. Fire Company personnel located an elderly male within a 1st floor bedroom and removed the male to the rear yard where lifesaving efforts were initiated by New Castle County Paramedics and Mill Creek EMS. Fire/EMS personnel transported the elderly male and a male child to the Christiana Hospital.

Investigators from the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the incident.

Damage is estimated at $250,000.00
