State Auditor Lydia York Releases State Budget Trend Tracker

The tracker is an interactive tool to view State Agency and Division general fund budget appropriations from FY2015 through FY2027

Dover, DE – Auditor of Accounts Lydia E. York released a Delaware State Budget Tracker on the State Auditor’s website today. The tracker is an interactive visual tool giving Delawareans the ability to view State Agency general fund appropriations across multiple fiscal years. The tool tallies General Fund appropriations across state agencies and divisions from fiscal year 2015 through the fiscal year 2027 budget passed by the General Assembly and signed by Governor Meyer on Tuesday.

“The State Auditor’s office is proud to continue delivering greater fiscal transparency to Delawareans,” said Auditor York. “This tool gives Delawareans a simple and accessible way to view their State budget, see trends, and better understand how crucial programs that Delaware communities rely on are funded. By making state budget data more accessible this new tracker will help give taxpayers a greater understanding of how their tax dollars are appropriated.”

The State Budget Trend Tracker is the third such tracker that the Auditor of Accounts Office has rolled out. This latest tracker utilizes publicly reported data from the Delaware Department of Finance, the Office of Management and Budget, and appropriations bills passed by the General Assembly and signed by the Governor. The State Budget Trend Tracker displays information about general fund appropriations and does not include information on appropriated special fund spending authority.
