Welcomes Youth, Adult, and Justice-Involved Jobseekers
WILMINGTON, Del. – The Delaware Department of Human Resources (DHR) will host its fourth and final statewide career fair of the year on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the Stockley Campus in Georgetown. The event, scheduled from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., will link youth, adult, and justice-involved job seekers with rewarding career opportunities in state government. Registration is now open at statejobs.delaware.gov.
To accommodate both youth and adult participants, the event will feature dedicated morning and afternoon sessions. The morning session, reserved for invited high school students from across the state, will provide students with an opportunity to learn about career pathways and explore employment opportunities in government. The afternoon session, open to the general public beginning at 12:00 p.m., will focus on connecting adult jobseekers with part-time, full-time, and casual seasonal employment opportunities.
This is the first year that DHR career fairs have been held in all three Delaware counties.

It’s a chance to build a better future for yourself and your family.” said Governor Matt Meyer. “Whether you’re a student starting your career, looking for a new opportunity, or rebuilding your life after involvement with the justice system, this career fair is about opening doors to meaningful careers and real second chances.”
“We recognize that access and awareness are key to building a talented, diverse workforce, and we want to ensure anyone interested in serving Delaware has the information and support they need to pursue these opportunities,” said DHR Secretary Yvonne Anders Gordon. “By bringing our career fairs directly into local communities, we are making it easier for people to explore careers in public service and take the next step in their professional journey.”
As part of the afternoon session, DHR will also connect justice-involved jobseekers with employment and career opportunities in state government. This initiative is a collaborative effort among DHR, the Department of Correction, and the Department of Labor to expand employment pathways for justice-involved individuals.

“Creating pathways to meaningful employment starts with making sure Delawareans know where the opportunities are and have the support they need to pursue them,” said Delaware Department of Labor Secretary LaKresha Moultrie. “This career fair brings together state agencies, employers, and jobseekers to create those connections, while giving individuals an opportunity to see themselves building a career in public service. We are proud to partner with DHR and the Department of Correction to expand access to opportunity and help more Delawareans take their next step forward.”
Job Openings and Employment Opportunities:
In advance of each career fair, DHR’s Central Talent Acquisition (CTA) team works closely with State agencies to identify current job openings and other employment opportunities for youth and adult jobseekers. These opportunities may include positions offering on-site interviews and, where appropriate, the potential for direct hiring.
