State Auditor, R. Thomas Wagner, Jr., has released the School Year 2017-2018 Statewide Unit Count Agreed-Upon Procedures Report for Sussex Academy.

The Office of Auditor of Accounts (AOA) performed procedures to determine whether Sussex Academy properly included selected students in the September 30th Unit Count.

The engagement was performed by AOA in accordance with Government Auditing standards, issued by the Comptroller General of the United States.

State Auditor, R. Thomas Wagner, Jr., has released the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad Special Investigation report.

Due to allegations of financial misappropriation of the former Treasurer at Mid-Sussex Rescue Squad, the Office of Auditor of Accounts (AOA) opened an investigation for January 1, 2010 through June 30, 2017. Through the investigation, AOA found financial misappropriations for the benefit of the former Treasurer and the current President including cash withdrawals, and payments for utilities and an auto loan.

Members of the Media are advised that State Auditor Tom Wagner will hold a press conference on March 28, 2018 at 1pm to release the results of a special investigation into alleged misappropriation of funds at the Mid-Sussex Rescue Squad during calendar years 2011 through 2016. The event will be held on the third floor of the Townsend Building located at 401 Federal Street, Dover Delaware.

Mr. Wagner will be joined by House Minority Leader Danny Short, State Representative William Carson, and members of the fire and rescue service. Event participants will be available for interview following the event.

Copies of the final report will be distributed at the event. There will not be a mult box available. The event room will open at 12:30pm for set-up.
