Colonial School District Referendum passes

Wilmington DE – The June 4th Colonial School District Referendum passes. The unofficial results are:

  • For the tax increase:  3,005
  • Against the tax increase: 2,938

The Board of Elections for New Castle County will certify the results of the referendum at its meeting at 7 p.m. on June 6, 2013.

Wilmington DE – The unofficial results of the Colonial School District Referendum should be available at about 9 p.m. this evening. The Department of Elections for New Castle County will compile the unofficial results at the Department’s warehouse located at 220 Lisa Dr in New Castle. The results will be posted at http://electionsncc.delaware.gov.

Colonial School District residents can vote at a Polling Place in the Carvel State Office Building

Wilmington DE – The Department of Elections for New Castle County has a Polling Place for today’s (June 4th) Colonial School District Referendum on the mezzanine of the Carvel State Office Building in downtown Wilmington. Persons eligible to vote in the referendum may vote there between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

“The Department has been doing this for the past few years so that folks working in downtown Wilmington have a convenient place in which to participate in these important elections,” according to Anthony Albence the Department’s Director.

In order to vote a person must be 18 years old, a U. S. and Delaware citizen, live in the school district and MUST show proof of identity and address.

Colonial School District Referendum – June 4, 2013

Wilmington, DE – The Colonial School District will hold a referendum on June 4, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. The list of Polling Places, a sample ballot and the notice of election at: http://electionsncc.delaware.gov/Colonial/co_ref.shtml.

To vote in this election you must be 18 years old, a citizen of the United States and the State of Delaware, and live in the Colonial School District.

An eligible citizen may vote at any of the buildings listed at http://electionsncc.delaware.gov/Colonial/co_ref.shtml#pp and is required to show proof of identity and address before being permitted to vote.

School Board Elections will be held on May 14th from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

There will be School Board Elections in the Appoquinimink, Brandywine, Christina and Red Clay Consolidated School Districts on Tuesday, May 14th from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
