The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office has determined that yesterday’s fire that heavily damaged a Selbyville, Delaware business was accidental.
The blaze, reported shortly before 7:30 am, occurred in the 100 block of Dixon Street at the Avalanche Industries. Firefighters encountered an active fire inside the building’s attic space.
Deputy fire marshals responded to the call and conducted the investigation. The fire originated in the attic and was caused by faulty electrical wiring. There were no reported injuries. Fire damage was estimated at $20,000.
