Governor Signs Law Protecting Emergency Responders from Employer Discrimination

At Brandywine Hundred Fire Company, Governor Markell signed House Bill 21 and House Bill 22 to protect volunteer emergency responders from employer discrimination or discipline stemming from their volunteer responsibilities.




Flags to Fly at Half-Staff in Honor of National Fallen Firefighters Memorial

Governor Jack Markell has ordered that U.S. and Delaware flags in the state be flown at half-staff on Sunday, October 16, in recognition of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.
