Governor Announces Release of Draft Downtown Development District Application
After signing a Fiscal Year 2015 budget that fully funded the state’s new urban revitalization program, Governor Jack Markell announced the release of a draft application for cities, towns, and unincorporated areas to be designated among Delaware’s first Downtown Development Districts.
Governor Markell Signs Bill to Revitalize Urban Areas, Spur Economic Development
Joined by community leaders, legislators, and local officials from all 3 counties, Governor Markell signed Senate Bill 191 to establish economic development incentives that promote revitalization of Delaware’s downtowns.
