2017 Division of Fish & Wildlife calendar available now, newly featuring sunrise/sunset times and hunting/fishing seasons

DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife is pleased to announce that its full-color 2017 calendar is available now, just in time for the New Year. Each month of the calendar depicts seasonal photographs of the division’s public wildlife and fishing areas and education facilities. New features in this year’s annual calendar include daily sunrise and sunset times and 2017 hunting and fishing season dates, as well as the usual monthly seasonal outdoor activity reminders and a convenient Division of Fish & Wildlife contact directory.




DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife reminds hunters of Sunday deer hunting opportunities on private and public lands

DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife reminds hunters of the four remaining Sunday deer hunting opportunities for the 2016/2017 hunting season. The first of this season’s five Sunday deer hunting days – Oct. 9 during the muzzleloader deer season – was a success, according to the Wildlife Section, providing hunters additional hunting opportunities with 116 deer registered that were harvested that day.




Print, online versions of newly updated 2016/2017 state wildlife area maps available

New state wildlife area maps with updated regulations and details for accessing the facilities at each area are now available for the 2016/2017 season.




Division of Fish & Wildlife to hold workshops Jan. 12-14 on wildlife services, related hunting and trapping license fees

DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife will hold a series of public workshops this week about wildlife conservation management and wildlife area user services and related hunting and trapping license fees.
