Lt. Governor Denn Helps Welcome Students Back to School

WILMINGTON, Del., (Friday, August 23, 2013) –  On Monday, August 26, Lt. Governor Matt Denn will help Colonial School District welcome students back to school.

From 8:30 – 9:00am he will greet students at New Castle Elementary School.  In order to ease overcrowding, 600 students from 3 elementary schools will attend New Castle Elementary School.

In the Colonial District, students will report to school on Monday, August 26, 2013 for grades Pre-K- 9th.  Grades 10-12 return on August 27th.

New Castle Elementary School has taken high-tech to a new level. Instead of traditional chalkboards or electronic Smart Boards, each classroom will be equipped with 70 inch TV’s that will be used by teachers who will connect their iPads to transmit lessons to students.
