Governor Signs Commitment to Innovation Act

Building on progress that has led to the best job creation of any state in the region, Governor Markell today signed the Commitment to Innovation Act, which includes provisions to expand the state research and development tax credit and incentivize companies to establish headquarters in Delaware. The legislation (SB 200) passed the House today by a 34-3 margin following a unanimous vote by the Senate last week.




DNREC Secretary’s Order, following new FDA guidance, halts shellfish harvest in seasonal area on Rehoboth Bay

DNREC Secretary David Small has issued a Secretary’s Order for closure of a conditionally-approved shellfish harvest area located in the northeastern corner of Rehoboth Bay, effective Monday, March 21.

DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver of a vehicle who, according to witnesses, intentionally drove through a flock of snow geese off Mulberry Knoll Road near Lewes around mid-morning Sunday, March 13.
