Garrisons Lake Fishing Bridge to close for repairs Nov. 9 and 10

Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control | Division of Fish and Wildlife | Date Posted: Monday, November 6, 2017

DOVER – DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife announced today that the fishing footbridge at Garrisons Lake near Smyrna will close Nov. 9 and 10, rain dates Nov. 16 and 17, for repairs to the guardrail. The guardrail was damaged when a tree limb fell on it during a recent storm.

While the project is expected to be complete, with full access restored, by Nov. 11, the repair requires welding and is thus weather dependent. For the latest information, please check the Fish & Wildlife Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/DelawareFishWildlife/.
