Steve Kinion Again Named to Captive Review Power 50

Captive | Insurance Commissioner | Date Posted: Tuesday, January 23, 2018

Dover, DE (January 23, 2018)  – For the fifth year in a row, Delaware’s captive insurance director, Steve Kinion, has been named in Captive Review’s Power 50.  Since 2014, Steve has been ranked in the top five of the Power 50 list.  The Power 50 represents the fifty most powerful and influential individuals in today’s the captive insurance industry.  Over 6,000 insurance professionals worldwide cast their votes to select the Power 50.

Insurance Commissioner Trinidad Navarro offered congratulatory words, “When I initially came into this office, I sought to replace Steve.  After doing my homework and conducting interviews, I frankly could not find anyone else of Steve’s caliber.  He is a captive insurance professional and expert, and the best choice for Delaware.”

Steve Kinion said, “While I am honored that my peers selected me to be on this prestigious list, this recognition belongs to the members of Delaware’s captive staff.  They have worked very hard so that Delaware ranks in the elite of global captive domiciles.  The fact that Delaware is only one of two captive domiciles with the recognition of being ICCIE Trained reflects the expertise and professionalism of Delaware’s team.”

Delaware is the world’s fifth largest captive domicile and the nation’s third largest.  Its experienced captive insurance team has reviewed and licensed some the world’s most complex and innovative captive insurance transactions.
