Division of Alcohol & Tobacco Enforcement Arrest Long Neck Man for Selling Alcohol Without a License

DATE News Release

The Delaware Division of Alcohol & Tobacco Enforcement (DATE) arrested 47-year old Lytain Dukes of Long Neck, Delaware for allegedly selling alcoholic liquor without a license and related offenses following an investigation into the I.Y.K.Y.K. Social Hall.

DATE, acting on a tip, was made aware of the establishment I.Y.K.Y.K. Social Hall, located at 24964 Sussex Highway in Seaford. Officers determined the location did not have a license to sell alcoholic beverages. Undercover personnel were able to make purchases of alcoholic beverages from the I.Y.K.Y.K. Social Hall.

On Friday June 6, DATE officers – with assistance from the Delaware State Police – executed a search warrant at the I.Y.K.Y.K. Social Hall. As a result, DATE seized illegal alcohol located on the premise.

Lytain Dukes was arrested without incident, and charged with the following crimes:

  • Selling alcoholic liquor without a license
  • Illegal storage of alcoholic liquor
  • Leading the public to believe they are authorized to sell alcoholic liquor

Dukes was subsequently ordered to appear in Justice of the Peace Court at a later date.
