Delaware Names 2013 Reward and Recognition School Awards

Lieutenant Governor Matt Denn and Department of Education Secretary Mark Murphy announced the 2013 winners of the state’s Reward and Recognition School Awards, known informally as the state’s Academic Achievement Awards. The announcements were made today in three separate press conferences, one in each county to honor the winners.




WEATHER-RELATED UPDATE: “A Day in the Life of the John Dickinson Plantation” on Oct. 12 to be moved indoors due to heavy rain

Due to heavy rains and saturated ground conditions, the component programs of “A Day in the Life of the John Dickinson Plantation,” originally scheduled to take place outdoors, will instead be held in the property’s mansion house and outbuildings.

Enjoy a day of food, entertainment and hands-on activities from colonial trades to hearth cooking in the 18th-century setting of the home of the “Penman of the Revolution.”

Eleven special programs to be offered during the month.
