Attorney General to Host Statewide Prescription Drug Summit

Day-long Program to Bring Attention and Strategize Effective Response to Growing Epidemic of Prescription Drug Abuse
What: Attorney General Beau Biden and the Delaware Department of Justice is hosting a day-long summit on the growing epidemic of prescription drug abuse.  The Summit brings together over 150 healthcare providers, physicians, pharmacists, addiction treatment professionals, state and federal law enforcement, and others to address the causes and exponential growth of prescription drug abuse, discuss steps being taken to combat criminal diversion and treat addicts, and examine additional solutions to the epidemic.

Speakers include Attorney General Beau Biden, US Attorney for the District of Delaware Charles M. Oberly, Keynote Speaker Regina LaBelle, Chief of Staff for the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, Delaware State Police Superintendant Colonel Robert Coupe, Director of the Delaware Division of Public Health Dr. Karyl Rattay, President of the Delaware Medical Society Dr. Randeep Kahlon, and others.  The complete Summit Agenda listing all speakers is attached.
