Letter to House Speaker and Minority Leader Outlines Support for Commonsense Immigration Reform

Wilmington, DE –   Governor Markell released the following statement regarding the letter that he and thirteen other Governors sent yesterday to House Speaker John Boehner and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

“Our country’s immigration system is broken, and the economy has suffered because of it. The House must not waste this opportunity to pass a bill that meets the key objectives of providing an earned pathway to citizenship for those living in the shadows, securing our borders and ensuring the visa system meets national priorities. Immigration has always been a foundation of our prosperity, and we need reform to keep Delaware and the nation moving forward.”
