Governor’s Weekly Message: Taking Action to Address Climate Change

Former Governor Jack Markell (2009-2017) | Kent County | New Castle County | News | Sussex County | Date Posted: Friday, March 6, 2015

In his weekly message, Governor Markell encourages Delawareans to take action in response to climate change by providing input and ideas to recommendations released earlier this week by the Committee on Climate and Resiliency.
“The Climate Framework for Delaware proposes a wide range of actions to protect public health and safety, strengthen the state’s facilities and infrastructure, and improve our capacity to deliver services to Delawareans in a changing climate,” said Governor Markell. “I encourage you to review the recommendations and offer your input and ideas. By working together, we can make Delaware more resilient to climate impacts, protecting our people, places and natural resources, and leaving the world better than we found it. And that will keep Delaware moving forward.”

Every week, the Governor’s office releases a new Weekly Message in video, audio, and transcript form. The message is available on:
