Painter Troy Richards to show work in the Mezzanine Gallery in September

The Delaware Division of the Arts Mezzanine Gallery is pleased to present Interior Monologues, an exhibition of oil paintings by Troy Richards. The exhibition will be on view from September 4 – 25, with an opening reception on September 4, 5-7 p.m. The Gallery, open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., is located in the Carvel State Office Building, 820 N. French Street, Wilmington.

Interior Monologues presents a selection of abstract oil paintings which stress exactitude in response to the distractions of contemporary life. The works present richly developed surfaces built up from the repeated action of carefully measured and applied brushstrokes. Troy Richards is an Associate Professor of Art and Chair of the Department of Art and Design at the University of Delaware, and he resides in Wilmington.
