The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is proud to host the Northeast Association of State Transportation Officials (NASTO) 2019 Annual Conference at the Chase Center in Wilmington from July 8 – 10, 2019.

“This is a great opportunity to showcase Delaware to several hundred transportation officials as we gather to discuss a variety of issues including working toward zero deaths on our roads, the impact of severe weather on our transportation infrastructure, and combatting the rise in drugged driving,” said Secretary of Transportation Jennifer Cohan.

Sessions will also be held on workforce development, the electrification of transportation, mobility on demand, diversity and inclusion, innovative tolling, drones, and the movement of people and goods.

“It is my pleasure to welcome NASTO Conference attendees to Wilmington,” said Mayor Mike Purzycki. “Your business here includes the exchange of information about some of the more pressing issues of the day regarding public safety and infrastructure. We appreciate your attention to these details and hope your visit to Wilmington is enjoyable. Whether along the Riverfront or on Market Street in Wilmington’s thriving downtown district, our City offers a perfect blend of history, arts, entertainment, nature, and some of the finest dining Delaware has to offer. Have a pleasant stay and please return soon.”

NASTO brings together representatives from the state transportation departments of the Northeastern United States and the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec. These high level decision makers include Secretaries, Commissioners, and their staff. Also in attendance are representatives from the Federal Highway Administration, The American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials, and other local, regional and national government agencies. This annual event draws more than 300 participants.
