REHOBOTH BEACH  – A one-of-a-kind dining experience at the Indian River Life-Saving Station is being offered on Friday, September 20^th at 6:00 p.m. State Park interpreters will dress in turn-of-the-century surfman uniforms and educate and entertain up to 30 guests as they feast on a 19^th-century, locally inspired dinner.

Participants can expect a meal prepared by Chef Lion Gardner that consists of ingredients sourced from the sea and local marshlands, such as periwinkle snails, clams, pheasant, and wild beach plum. The meal will take place in the Life-Saving Station by lantern-light. Following dessert, guests will take a walk to the beach to experience what a surfman may have experienced on an evening beach patrol. Park interpreters will finish the evening by telling stories of tragedy and mystery that occurred along the Delaware coast.

Tickets for the program are $90 and include beer and wine. Reservations can be made by calling (302) 227-6991 at least seven days in advance. The event sells out quickly so interested participants are encouraged to call quickly.
