Statement from Attorney General Jennings on Supreme Court’s Texas ruling

Department of Justice | Department of Justice Press Releases | News | Date Posted: Saturday, December 12, 2020

Attorney General Kathy Jennings released the following statement Saturday regarding the Supreme Court’s rejection of Texas’ last-ditch election suit:

Last night the Supreme Court — including President Trump’s own judicial appointees — rejected a desperate, 11th hour attempt by Texas’ attorney general to overturn millions of votes. It was only the latest in a virtually unbroken string of rejections that Courts and election officials around the nation have handed the Trump campaign and its allies in their unprecedented effort to undermine majority rule and cast doubt on an election that bipartisan election officials have confirmed over and over again was fair and free. I’m grateful to the Court for its wisdom and for putting its country first.

Enough is enough. America has chosen her president. It’s time to stop humoring this baseless, divisive myth and to begin to heal this nation.
