WILMINGTON — Today, Governor Matt Meyer announced the launch of a new online resource page to help Delaware residents navigate the impacts of the ongoing federal government shutdown. The webpage compiles assistance programs and services available to affected individuals and families, including food assistance, healthcare assistance, unemployment assistance, student loan relief, childcare aid, and rent and utility support. It also connects Delawareans to crisis and mental health resources during this period of uncertainty.

The Meyer Administration developed the resource page to ensure that Delaware families—especially federal employees and contractors—can access timely support while the shutdown continues to disrupt paychecks and vital services.

“The federal government is using its own employees as political fodder, turning working families into pawns in Washington’s partisan games,” Governor Matt Meyer said. “Here in Delaware, we’re stepping up to protect our residents. We won’t stand by while dysfunction in D.C. makes life more expensive, more stressful, and more difficult for hardworking Americans. This resource page is one way we’re ensuring Delawareans get the help they need and deserve.”

The shutdown resource page is available now at de.gov/federalshutdown and will be regularly updated as additional programs and information become available.
