Attorney General Kathy Jennings released the following statement regarding the Trump Administration’s decision to seize billions of taxpayer dollars to reward those who attacked the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, 2021:

“The President’s theft of nearly 2 billion taxpayer dollars to reward January 6th insurrectionists is yet another intolerable act of blatant corruption. It is an affront to common decency, to the rule of law, to taxpayers, and to the law enforcement who were injured and who died as a result of the actions of Trump’s mob that day. It must not be allowed to stand.”
