Every home has an archive. Family photographs, important documents, home movies, and digital files all help tell the story of our lives and communities.

This Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., join us at the Delaware Public Archives for Home Is Where the Archive Is, presented by processing archivists Steven D’Avria, Luann Taylor, and Lindsay Townsend.

Attendees will learn practical techniques to preserve their personal materials at home, including proper storage, handling, and basic preservation strategies for physical and digital records.

The session will also include a show-and-tell featuring common record formats found in personal collections, helping participants identify, understand, and care for the materials that preserve their family history.

The program is free and open to the public.
