State Awards More Than $3.8 Million to Support High-Quality Professional Learning

The Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) today announced the award of more than $3.8 million to school districts as part of the state’s Reimaging Professional Learning Grants (RPL) program. Nine school districts were awarded a total of 15 grants to support professional learning that will impact 99 schools and more than 60,720 students statewide.  




DIAA Statement on DFOA Officials

DIAA is committed to working collaboratively with all DIAA approved officials’ associations, in addition to DAAD and DIOC, when considering all future requests concerning officials’ fees. The opportunity to participate in interscholastic athletics is vital to the social, emotional, and physical wellbeing of student athletes. A work stoppage by DFOA would hinder such an opportunity and would not be in the best interest of Delaware’s student athletes.




Middle and High School Students Win Digital Mapping Awards

Six students took home $100 prizes each as Delaware’s winners of the Esri’s 2022 ArcGIS US School Competition.




Migrant Summer School Supports Students, Families

Delaware’s Migrant Education Program’s (MEP) Summer School Project is a seven-week program (June 27 – August 12) that provides instructional and supportive services to migratory children whose parents migrate and work in agriculture in Delaware. MEP is a federally funded program that supplements educational support services for migrant students.




Why Mental Health is Key to a Child’s Overall Health and Wellbeing

In addition to a caring adult, research shows that prevention and treatment programs do work and there are resources available to help children and their families through the Delaware Children’s Department Division of Prevention and Behavioral Health Services (DPBHS) and the Department of Education (DOE) and local schools.
