Inmate Death – Steven Crawford
Dover – Steven Crawford, age 60, an inmate at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna, died at Christiana Hospital on Sunday, December 7, 2014 of natural causes following a lengthy illness. Crawford, of Chester, PA, was serving a life sentence for 1st Degree Murder. His sentence effective date was February 6, 1988.
Crawford’s body has been turned over to the State Division of Forensic Science, as is standard procedure.
Foul play is not suspected.
