Checkpoint Strikeforce Week 2 Results

A total of 78 people were arrested statewide last week for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) of alcohol and/or drugs. Of those 78 individuals, four (4) were arrested at DUI checkpoints conducted by the New Castle County DUI Task Force and Delaware State Police. Police officers also made 32 other traffic arrests. Next DUI checkpoint will be held Saturday July 18th in the Bear/New Castle area.

The Department of Correction today announced that it is searching for a Dover work release offender and notified the public that two work release offenders have been apprehended.

Ronnie Farrow, age 32, an inmate at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, died unexpectedly this morning, July 10. Farrow’s cellmate found him unresponsive in his bed at the facility. Department of Correction staff responded immediately and called 911. First responders performed CPR with negative results, and Farrow was declared deceased at 4:19 a.m.
