Governor Markell Announces Five Judicial Nominations

Governor Markell today announced the nominations of five individuals to serve as members of the Delaware judiciary, including the Honorable Janell Ostroski (for Judge of the Family Court, New Castle County), the Honorable Louann Vari (for Judge of the Family Court, Kent County), the Honorable Mary Much (for reappointment as Commissioner of the Family Court, New Castle County), Katharine Mayer (for Commissioner of the Superior Court, New Castle County), and Donald Bucklin (for Commissioner of the Court of Common Pleas for Kent and Sussex Counties).

DNREC, DHSS issue new fish consumption advisories reflecting significant improvements in New Castle County

Updated consumption advisories for fish caught in Delaware waterways show some of the most significant improvements in fish tissue contaminant concentrations since the state began assessing contaminants in fish in 1986, the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) and the Department of Health and Social Services’ Division of Public Health (DHSS/DPH) announced today.

DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police arrested two Maryland residents June 2 on multiple criminal charges including drug and weapon possession in connection with an incident inside a parked car at the Bowers Beach Boat Ramp parking lot.
